How It Works Both Ways

The Freund Master Cut is designed for easy use in both directions, making it versatile for different materials:

  • For cutting slate: Position the tool with the hole punch facing down, then follow the cutting line using the V guide. This ensures a chamfered top edge.
  • For cutting fibre cement: Flip the tool over, with the hole punch and centimetre scale facing upwards. This orientation allows the breaking edge to form below, giving a clean and precise cut.

What You Need to Do Differently

Simply hold the tool the right way around for each material, and continue working as you normally would. The tool’s innovative design makes your cutting process more efficient than ever before.

  • For cutting slate: Hold the Master Cut the other way around, ensuring the breaking edge is visible for better control and a cleaner finish.
  • For cutting fibre cement: Hold the Master Cut with the hole punch and centimetre scale facing upwards, allowing the breaking edge to form below.
